REGULAR MEETING TOWN OF COLLINS AUGUST 10, 2026 3 WHEREAS, Erie County Legislator John Mills has reserved $2,500.00 towards the Town’s purchase of three (3) AED Units, and WHEREAS, the Town researched online sites for pricing from: AED.US, Amazon, American AED, and AED.COM, with the best prices coming from AMERICAN AED with a base price of $1,529.00 for each Philips Heart Start On Site AED package and $125.00 for each set of options Infant/Child Pads. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Collins Town Board hereby agrees to purchase three (3) Philips Heart Start On Site AED packages at a cost of $4,587.00, plus three (3) Infant/Child pads at a cost of $375.00, for the town buildings at a total cost of $4,962.00. 4. Resolution needed to approve contractor for demolition of structures at 13619 Route 62 and 2327 Wheater Road RESOLUTION # 149: APPROVE CONTRACTOR FOR DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURES AT 13619 ROUTE 62 AND 2327 WHEATER ROAD Motion made by Supervisor Martin seconded by Councilmember Overhoff that the following resolution is: ADOPTED Aye 5 Overhoff, Pfeifer, Porter, McLean, Martin Nay 0 WHEREAS, Town Board Resolution #140 of 07/13/2026 declares structures at 13619 Route 62 and 2327 Wheater Road to be an endangerment to the public and ordered the Emergency Controlled Demolition of the abandoned structures, and WHEREAS, the Town sent out Request for Proposals (RFPs) to demolish the structures to four (4) firms and received the following proposals: Geiter Done of WNY, Inc $29,500 – 13619 Route 62 300 Green Street $28,500 – 2327 Wheater Road Buffalo, NY 14206 Metro Environmental $76,900 – Both locations at 13619 Route 62 and 2327 Wheater Rd 2939 Lockport Street Niagara Falls, NY 14305 Hannah Demolition No Bid 205 Baitz Avenue Buffalo, NY 14206 Pierce Service No Bid 4930 Webster Road Fredonia, NY 14063 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Collins Town Board hereby accepts the Proposals from Geiter Done of WNY, Inc, 300 Green Street, Buffalo, NY 14206, to demolish and remove all debris at 13619 Route 62, Collins, NY at a cost of $29,500.00 and also to demolish and remove all debris at 2327 Wheater Road, Collins, NY at a cost of $28,500.00 and that the Town Supervisor be authorized to sign the Acceptance of Proposals with Geiter Done of WNY, Inc. 5.
