responsibility to remove the signals from the old poles and install the traffic lights and equipment on the new poles. The signal at fire station 1 has been altered leavening the boxes on the poles containing partial electronics. The unreliability of these traffic signals creates an unsafe condition when our firefighters are responding to emergency calls and returning to the fire stations. The signals are used to stop traffic in front of each fire station to allow the fire trucks to safely exit when leaving and to safely back in to the fire station when returning. I have contacted 4 electric contractors regarding this project and have only received one quote back for the work to be done. Power & Construction Group quoted a cost of $97,955.00 to complete the traffic signal work at all 3 fire stations. I am requesting council approve the quote and allocate the necessary funds to perform the needed work to traffic signals outside of each fire station and fix the unsafe condition that exists. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. JAMES J. FINO, FIRE CHIEF Moved by Marrano second by Muflahi to approve quote from Power & Construction Group.
