The Town currently pays $449 per month for 50 Mbps of internet service. Supervisor Snyder, Town of Aurora IT Consultant Nick Fodero and I met with a representative from GoNetSpeed to review their service offerings and pricing. We also contacted Spectrum to obtain updated pricing for comparable service. Attached are the proposals received from both providers. Based on the pricing received and discussions with our IT consultant, we recommend that the Town switch internet service providers from Spectrum to GoNetSpeed and enter into a 60-month agreement for 1 Gbps fiber internet service.
