The Village may require an alternative species or size where the requested tree is unsuitable for the proposed location. 14. MEMORIAL BENCHES — DESIGN AND SIZE All memorial benches shall be of a design, material, color and size approved by the Village. The Village may establish one or more standard bench designs for use under this program. An applicant may request a particular design, but the Village shall have final authority over the bench design. Benches shall not interfere with pedestrian circulation, accessibility, drainage, maintenance activities, snow removal or other Village operations. PART III — PLAQUES AND INSCRIPTIONS 15. MEMORIAL PLAQUES A commemorative plaque or marker may be permitted in connection with an approved memorial. All plaques and markers shall be subject to final approval by the Village Board or its authorized designee. The Village shall determine the appropriate size, material, design, placement and method of installation based upon the location and type of memorial. The Village may establish standard plaque formats for the program. 16. PLAQUE WORDING Plaque wording shall be limited to language appropriate for a public memorial. Plaques shall not contain: 1. Commercial advertising; 2. Business promotion; 3. Political campaign messages; 4. Political endorsements;
