Agreement
This Agreement is entered into by New York State Electric & Gas Corporation (“NYSEG”)
and the Village of East Aurora (the “Village”). The parties agree to the following phased
vegetation management plan and scope of trimming, which shall be implemented in
accordance with the timelines set forth herein, or as otherwise mutually agreed by the
parties.
The parties acknowledge their mutual interest in maintaining a safe and reliable electric
distribution system while preserving the health, appearance, and character of the Village's
tree canopy. The parties agree to cooperate in good faith in implementing this Agreement
and resolving issues arising under it.
To facilitate communication and implementation of this Agreement, the Village shall
designate a representative ("Village Designated Representative") to serve as the primary
point of contact for matters relating to tree trimming and vegetation management activities
within the Village. NYSEG shall likewise designate a representative (“NYSEG Designated
Representative”) to serve as its primary point of contact. Each party shall promptly notify
the other of any change in its designated representative. As of the date of execution of this
Agreement, the Village Designated Representative shall be Jeffrey Stoll (jeff.stoll@east-
aurora.ny.us) and the NYSEG Designated Representative shall be Madiline Beale
([email protected] and/or Luke Myzel ([email protected])].
Proposed Plan for Circuits within the Village
Phase 1 – December 2025 through July 2026
• NYSEG and the Village shall jointly identify trees that were significantly impacted by
prior vegetation management activities in 2025-2026. Upon request of the Village,
NYSEG shall remove such trees and provide replacement plantings in accordance
with this Agreement.
• NYSEG shall maintain and provide to the Village Designated Representative a
mutually agreed inventory of all trees removed pursuant to this Agreement,
including removals associated with NYSEG's vegetation management program and
any work performed by contractors on behalf of NYSEG, including GoNetSpeed-
related work. The inventory shall identify the removal location, stump status,
replacement status, and anticipated replacement date.
