  The Mayor may also designate one or more Board liaisons to attend meetings
  and assist with coordination between the Task Force and the Village Board.

  (2) Chairperson
  The Mayor shall designate the initial Chairperson of the Task Force. The Task
  Force may later recommend procedures for selection of future officers or
  leadership positions, subject to approval by the Village Board if required.
  The Chairperson shall:
  - coordinate meeting agendas;
  - facilitate meetings;
  - coordinate with Village staff and leadership; and,
  - assist in advancing the goals and work of the Task Force.

  (3) Meetings
  The Task Force shall meet as needed, but generally no less than quarterly,
  unless otherwise determined appropriate by the Chairperson or Village
  Board.
  Meetings shall be conducted in accordance with applicable law and Village
  procedures.

  (4) Voting and Recommendations
  The Task Force shall function primarily in an advisory and consensus-building
  role. Formal votes may be conducted when appropriate to provide
  recommendations to the Village Board or staff.
  Recommendations of the Task Force shall be advisory only and shall not be
  binding upon the Village Board, Village staff, or other boards and
  commissions.

  (5) Staff Support
  Village staff may provide administrative support, coordination assistance,
  and meeting support as available and appropriate.

  5. Relationship to the Comprehensive Plan Process

  The proposed Task Force could provide valuable input during development of
  the Village’s new Comprehensive Plan and assist in identifying
  implementation priorities, economic development opportunities, downtown
  revitalization strategies, tourism initiatives, event coordination opportunities,
  and future funding opportunities.

  The intent is not to create additional bureaucracy, but rather to improve
  coordination, encourage community participation, strengthen strategic
  planning efforts, and position the Village proactively for future investment
  and revitalization opportunities.
