RESOLUTION 20260504

A motion by Trustee ______to Appoint ﬁre department clerk
WHEREAS, the Village of East Aurora Fire Department needs additional support for administrative
tasks, and
WHEREAS, the ﬁre department needs tasks like required trainings tracked properly, purchasing
policies documents need to be properly recorded, and required reporting reviewed to ensure that
they are submitted by the department in a timely manner, and
 WHEREAS, Christine Cappola, Sr. Administrative Assistant of the DPW, has agreed to assist with
these clerical tasks for the Fire Department Chief and Clerk-Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, the positions shall be paid a stipend for this work; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Christine Cappola is appointed as the Fire Department
clerk starting June 1, 2026, with a stipend of $2,000 per year. The stipend will be paid out biweekly
as long as this task is assigned to the employee. Seconded by Trustee ________,
