Town Board of the Town of Hamburg October 19, 2026 Meeting 4.6. Implementation of RPTL §458-a(11), As Amended 100% Total and Permanent Disabled Veterans Exemption WHEREAS, New York Real Property Tax Law §458-a(11), as amended, authorizes a real property tax exemption for the primary residence of an eligible veteran who is considered 100% total and permanently disabled as a result of military service; and WHEREAS, the Town of Hamburg wishes to continue to acknowledge and support disabled veterans by providing this exemption as authorized under New York State law; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Hamburg hereby adopts and implements the real property tax exemption authorized pursuant to New York Real Property Tax Law §458-a(11), as amended, for eligible veterans who are considered 100% total and permanently disabled as a result of military service; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the appropriate Town departments are authorized and directed to take all necessary actions to administer this exemption in accordance with applicable law. 10
