LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF HAMBURG The Code Enforcement Department of the Town of Hamburg hereby gives notice of the regular examination for the Master Plumber License, Site Utility Contractor License, and Journeyman Plumber License to be held at the Hamburg Town Hall, 6100 South Park Avenue, Room 7A, Hamburg, New York on Monday, December 21, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. local time. Anyone wishing to take this examination and meeting the qualifications listed below, should file an application in writing with the Town of Hamburg Code Enforcement Department Office prior to December 9th, 2026. A nonrefundable deposit of $100 per exam taken is due at the time of application. Upon approval of the Town Plumbing Examiner, each applicant will be required to pay on the night of the exam, to the Town Clerk, an additional fee of $200 for each exam to be taken (Master Plumber Journeyman Plumber and Site Utility Contractor.) Master Plumber, Journeyman Plumber, and Site Utility Contractors applicants must have: (A). Two years of vocational school, plus four years of practical experience under the supervision of a master plumber for a master plumbing exam; Two years of vocational school, plus two years of practical experience under the supervision of a master plumber for a journeyman exam; Two years of vocational school, plus two years of practical experience under a licensed site utility contractor for a site utility contractor exam; or (B). Six years of practical plumbing experience for a master plumbing exam; Four years of practical plumbing experience for a site utility contractor or journeyman plumber or (C) An equivalent combination of training and experience indicated. Certification must be attached or included with the application for the Master Plumber or Site Utility Contractor Exam.
