Town Board of the Town of Hamburg March 23, 2026 Meeting 4.6. Schedule Public Hearing to Amend Ch. 65 of the Hamburg Town Code Whereas, the Hamburg Town Code contains and specifies the local laws and ordinances of the Town of Hamburg; and WHEREAS, the Code Review Committee reviewed various regulations of the Town of Hamburg Code and has sent these suggested revisions to the Town Board to begin the adoption process; and BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Clerk is authorized to schedule a public hearing on a Proposed Local Law. The proposed local law would provide for amendments to the Hamburg Town Code in accordance with the recommendations of the Town of Hamburg Code Review Committee, specifically: The purpose of this local law is to amend the provisions of Chapter 65 of the Code of the Town of Hamburg entitled "Alarm Systems", specifically §65-6. Avoidable Alarms, §65-7 Enforcement, §65-8 Penalties for offense and §65-9 Fines BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, in accordance with the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), the Town Board will seek Lead Agency status for this proposed legislation and authorizes the Planning Department to perform the appropriate mailings and notifications. Be It Further Resolved, that the Hamburg Town Board hereby authorizes the referral of these proposed Code amendments to Erie County; and Be It Finally Resolved, that the Hamburg Town Board sets a Public Hearing on these proposed Code amendments at the Hamburg Town Hall, 6100 South Park Avenue, Hamburg, NY at 7:00 pm on April 27, 2026. 12
