Town Board of the Town of Hamburg January 26, 2026 Meeting 4.4. Schedule Chapter 34 Mandatory Training Code Amendments Public Hearing WHEREAS, the Hamburg Town Code contains and specifies the local laws and ordinances of the Town of Hamburg; and WHEREAS, the Code Review Committee has reviewed the “Mandatory Training” regulations of Chapter 34 of Hamburg Town Code, and has sent these suggested revisions for the Town Board to begin the adoption process; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Municipal Home Rule Law, the Town Board is proposing to enact a local law as follows: Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Hamburg, New York, that the Hamburg Town Board proposes to amend the Hamburg Town Code as follows (full copies attached): Amend Chapter 34 “Mandatory Training”, by renaming it “Training and Attendance Requirements for Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals” and adding new subsections WHEREAS, the Hamburg Town Board referred this proposed law amendment to Erie County through the 239-m referral process and received no objections, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Hamburg Town Board herby sets a public hearing on this proposed local law amendment for February 23rd, 2026, at 7 pm in the Court Room of Hamburg Town Hall. 9
