The distribution of trips generated by the campground development is likely to follow a
combination of prevailing regional travel patterns, existing traffic volumes, location of
population centers and the local and regional roadway network. The population centers that
the site would draw people from are located north or west of the proposed site. As such, most
of the traffic will arrive and depart using State Route 400 with a smaller percentage using US
Route 20A to the west. It is likely that very few people will use US Route 204A to the east.

Given the relatively low volume of traffic that will be generated by the campground sleeping
quarters and the associated lodge/open air gazebo and that the majority of traffic will be
arriving and departing after the peak hours, it can be concluded that the proposed
campground development will have little to no impact on traffic flow and operations and that
there will not be significant adverse traffic operational impacts. Further, it should be noted
that the site currently operates as a wellness center that currently generates some amount of
traffic. Finally, NYSDOT typically does not require a traffic impact study if a development
generates less than 100 peak hour trips.

There is not an existing crash history in the vicinity of the site. It is not anticipated that the
increased vehicle activity at the proposed site will cause an increase in crashes. There is
excellent site distance in each direction to give traffic entering and exiting the site plenty of
time and distance to observe any oncoming vehicles. It ls recommended that any landscaping
proposed for the site be located away from the edges of the roadway so as not to block the
  view of exiting vehicles.

This study has been conducted for the proposed Twin Elms campground development to
assess the transportation and safety impacts relative to the creation of a campground and
lodge/open air gazebo social gathering space. This assessment concludes that there will not be
any significant adverse transportation or safety impacts due to the project.

Should you have any questions regarding the findings of this assessment, please do not
  hesitate to call.
