TO: Honorable Town Board FROM: Megan Wnek, Director of Finance DATE: June 8, 2026 SUBJECT: Director of Finance re 2025 Budget Amendment - Highway Department Requested Action: Kindly authorize the following 2025 budget amendment for the use of revenue from the sale of excess woodchips by the Highway Department RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, the Town of West Seneca Highway Department received proceeds from the sale of excess woodchips in the amount of $10,990; and WHEREAS, the payments received from this sale were received on October 29, 2025 have been recognized as revenue in the Highway Fund as Sale of Excess Scrap and Materials, account 02000200.42650: NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board does hereby authorize the 2025 budget amendment to increase Highway Sale of Excess Scrap and Materials Income by $10,990 for the receipt of proceeds from the sale of excess woodchips. Highway – Equipment, account #02511000.50200 will also be increased by $10,990 for the associated expenses.
