TO: Honorable Town Board FROM: Megan Wnek, Director of Finance DATE: June 8, 2026 SUBJECT: Director of Finance re 2025 Budget Amendment - Highway Department Requested Action: Kindly authorize the following 2025 budget amendment for the use of revenue from the Town of Cheektowaga to the Highway Department RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, the Town of West Seneca Highway Department performed a service contract for the Town of Cheektowaga in the amount of $75,000; and WHEREAS, the payments received from this service contract on October 29, 2025 have been recognized as revenue in the Highway Fund as Services for Other Governments, account 02000200.42300: NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board does hereby authorize the 2025 budget amendment to increase Highway Services for Other Governments Income by $75,000 for the receipt of proceeds from the Service Contract. Highway – Equipment, account #02511000.50200 will also be increased by $75,000 for the associated expenses.
