As in the past our department hires high schoo! graduates or college students who are planning on continuing their education in the field of engineering to assist our staff with surveying, engineering evaluations/calculations and engineering drafting. Gavin Forant is a bright young individual who is dedicated and eager to learn. He recently completed a non-paid internship through his school with the Engineering Department and was able to catch on quickly and was very helpful. He has received excellent recommendations, and | feel he will be an asset to the Engineering Department. Funds have been allocated in the 2026 budget for seasonal help in the Engineering Department. |, therefore, recommend that you approve Gavin Forant, * for a full- time seasonal position in the Engineering Department for a maximum of 13 weeks beginning June 15, 2026, at a wage rate of $17.00 per hour.
