Committee Reports

Highway Superintendent Unverdorben informed the Town Board that the Salt cost for the September 1,
2026, through August 31, 2027, year will be going from $53.00 per ton to $93.24 per ton with American
Rock Salt. The town is bound by the contract to take 70% of what we order. 70% of what we order is

Salt won’t be able to fill our orders. He wants to make sure we have Salt for the roads and to investigate
other options.

Highway Superintendent Unverdorben stated that as of right now American Rock Salt is the only one
