AUGUST 17, 2026 WHEREAS, the realization of a roundabout at Lake Street and Main Street has been a clear, sustained priority of the Village for over a decade, as formally established in the Village of Hamburg 2012 Comprehensive Plan and reaffirmed in the draft 2026 Comprehensive Plan update; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Hamburg hereby strongly supports NYSDOT PIN 5308.40 and formally endorses the selection of a roundabout as the Preferred Alternative for the intersection of US Route 62 (Main Street) and NY Route 75 (Lake Street); and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk is hereby directed to immediately transmit a certified copy of this Resolution to the Regional Director and Project Management Team at NYSDOT Region 5 as the official position of the Village of Hamburg during the public comment period.
