VILLAGE OF EAST AURORA VILLAGE BOARD MEETING October 19, 2026 – 7:00 PM Present: Trustee Lazickas Trustee Bojanowski Trustee Kamp Trustee Root Mayor Wochensky Absent: Trustee Cameron Trustee Viger Also Present: Maureen Jerackas, Clerk-Treasurer Jessica Tufte- Village Administrator Kevin Rautenstrauch, Village Attorney Liz Cassidy, Code Enforcement Officer Jeff Stoll, General Foreman Patrick Welch, Police Chief 13 Members of the public PUBLIC HEARINGS • Mayor Wochensky opened the Public Hearing at 7:01 pm to consider amending Local Law Chapter 180 of the Village of East Aurora Code by adding a new article IV entitled “Aggressive Solicitation”. o No Comment Mayor Wochensky closed the Public Hearing at 7:01 pm. SPEAKERS & COMMUNICATIONS (I) – Agenda Items Only • Karen Spencer- 31 Hamlin Ave- She expressed concerns over the parking buffer with 206 Main Street. She asked the Village Board if they can require the owner to clean up the mess in the back parking lot and move the barriers at least 4 feet. She discussed amended zoning codes and wanted to know why new codes can't be applied to new applications for continuing business uses. • Mary Farallo- 23 North Willow- She read the special provisions in the agenda but still has concerns over them not being followed and the consequences. • Marcia Diagostino- 19 North Willow- She still has concerns over the noise and the patrons spilling over into the street. She also wants to know what the consequences will be if the rules aren’t followed. CONSENT CONSIDERATIONS • A Motion by Trustee Bojanowski to approve all consent agenda items, o Approval of Minutes of Village Board Meeting for October 5, 2026. o Approval of Payment for October 19, 2026, Abstract 2026/2027 fiscal year for a total of $84,899.25. o LOCAL LAW NO. 7 OF THE YEAR 2026 A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 180 OF THE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF EAST AURORA, ENTITLED "PEDDLERS AND SOLICITORS," BY ADDING A NEW ARTICLE IV, ENTITLED "AGGRESSIVE SOLICITATION"
