REGULAR BOARD MEETING TOWN HALL JUNE 17, 2026 7:30 P.M. based on community input, with residents overwhelmingly requesting new acts. Residents with feedback were encouraged to reach out to the Supervisor's office or the Town of Boston Summer Concert Series Facebook page. Erie County Clerk Mickey Kerns will be conducting mobile DMV sessions at Town Hall. Dates are not yet finalized, but sessions are anticipated to be held on Fridays to accommodate the two senior groups that regularly meet in the community room downstairs. Water Phase 1 is nearly complete, with remaining work ongoing on Zimmerman Road. Advised residents to exercise caution near lane restrictions in that area noting that a pavement bump resulting from the decommissioning of a fire hydrant is being addressed by the County, the engineer, and the contractor. Water Phase 2 will be put out to bid upon receipt of approvals from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Regarding Erie County Sewer District No. 3, the district's budget passed at the most recent meeting. Boston residents should anticipate an approximate $30 increase in their annual sewer bill beginning in 2027, primarily attributable to a $2 million levy to build the fund balance for new infrastructure required under a New York State DEC consent order. Reductions in chemical costs helped offset a portion of the increase. Advised residents to avoid pouring grease down drains, noting that grease buildup in sewer lines has been a district-wide issue. A public outreach flyer on the topic will be distributed through social media across all municipalities served by Erie County Sewer District No. 3. Hope everyone has a safe and happy Father’s Day. Independence Day is on the horizon, Skylighters always does a great job. Town Hall will be closed this coming Friday and the next regular Board meeting is scheduled for July 15, 2026.
