VILLAGE OF GOWANDA “Gateway to the Southern Tier” 27 E Main Street ¢ Gowanda NY 14070 (716)532-3353 @ Fax (716)532-2938 “The Village of Gowanda is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer.” Village of Gowanda RESOLUTION DATE: July 14, 2026 BOARD RESOLUTION TITLE: Resolution to request Cattaraugus County Soil & Water Conservation District to serve as lead agency to apply for funding through New State Department of Environmental Conservation’s (NYSDEC) Non-Agricultural Nonpoint Source and MS4 Planning Grant (NPG) program; and WHEREAS, the New York Department of Environmental Consewation has issued a Request for Proposals inviting Soil & Water Conservation Districts, Municipalities, or groups acting jointly to submit proposals for funding under Round 7 of the Non-Agricultural Nonpoint Source and MS4 Planning Grant program; and WHEREAS, funds are available for the planning of projects that consist of activities that will reduce, abate, control, or prevent nonpoint source pollution originating fron non-agricultural sources; including, but not limited to, stormwater runoff, soil erosion & sedimentation, etc.; and WHEREAS, the Cattaraugus County Soil & Water Conservation Districtis desirous of acting as lead agency to apply for funding through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Non-Agricultural Nonpoint Source and MS4 Planning Grant progum for partial reimbursement to assist with the planning and design of a nonpoint source pollution project, and WHEREAS, the Village of Gowanda is interested in participatingin this program and is in support of Cattaraugus County Soil & Water Conservation District’s assistince in securing this grant funding; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Gowanda Board of Directors hereby requests Cattaraugus County Soil & Water Conservation District t serve as lead agency to apply and submit the aforementioned grant application on behalf of the Village of Gowanda.
