Town Board of the Town of Hamburg August 24, 2026 Meeting 4.15. Approval of School Resource Officer Agreement with Frontier Central School District - Shared Services Agreement WHEREAS, the Town of Hamburg and Frontier Central School District intend to enter into an Agreement for the shared service of two (2) patrol officers to act as School Resource Officers (SROs); and WHEREAS, the shared service of two (2) Town of Hamburg Patrol Officers between the Town of Hamburg and Frontier Central School District will enhance the personal safety of faculty, staff, parents, guardians, caregivers and the community for Frontier Central School District, as well as the Town of Hamburg; and WHEREAS, the total cost of two (2) SROs for calendar year 2026 is $410,334.06 ($34,194.50 per month). For July 2026 through December 31, 2026, Frontier’s 75% share will be $25,645.88 per month; and WHEREAS, the total cost of two (2) SROs for calendar year 2027 is estimated to be $422,291.77 ($35,190.98 per month). For calendar year 2027, Frontier’s 75% share of total compensation for two (2) SROs is estimated to be $26,393.24 per month; and WHEREAS, the total cost of two (2) SROs for calendar year 2028 is estimated to be $432,383.98 ($36,032.00 per month). For calendar year 2028, Frontier’s 75% share of total compensation for two (2) SROs is estimated to be $27,024.00 per month; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Hamburg authorizes the Supervisor and the Chief of Police to enter into an agreement (subject to approval of Town Attorney) with Frontier Central School District for the shared service of two School Resource Officers.
