Invitation

Your firm is hereby invited to submit a proposal for operation of the Hamburg Town
Park’s Concession/Snack Bar located at Hamburg Town Park, 4420 Lakeshore Road, Hamburg
NY 14075.

Introduction

The Town of Hamburg is seeking proposals (RFP) from experienced business operators
or qualified individuals to operate the beach concession/snack stand at Hamburg Town Park.
Hamburg Town Park is a seasonal facility that is generally open from Memorial Day to Labor
Day. The concessionaire would be required to be open for the duration of the season. The
selected proposer will provide food and beverage concession services to beach patrons in a
manner that is safe, professional, environmentally responsible, and consistent with the character
of the beach during the beach season. (Memorial Day to Labor Day).

This RFP neither commits the Town of Hamburg to select an operator nor reimburse any
costs associated with the preparation or submittal of proposals in this regard. The Town reserves
the right to reject any and all proposals, should it be deemed to be in the best interests of the
Town of Hamburg.

Background

Hamburg Town Park is located on the shore of Lake Erie. In an October 1914 deed, the
Locksley Park Company donated this land to the Town of Hamburg for its resident’s recreational
use. Hamburg Town Park includes a bathing beach, sandy waterfront, boat launch, fitness center,
basketball court, concession, playground, changing rooms, restrooms and scenic view. The sandy
beach swimming area is patrolled by certified lifeguards Memorial Day Weekend through Labor
Day.

Time Frame

Operator to be responsible for Seasonal Concessions including food, snack, and beverage
between Memorial Day and Labor Day. General hours of operation would be flexible; please
submit a schedule of the proposed weekly (covering June 20th-August 30th) hours of operation.

The Town of Hamburg desires a two-season contract (2026, 2027) with the option for a
third season (2028).

Financial

The vendor/operator will provide the Town of Hamburg with a pre-determined agreed
upon rental fee. Minimum bid to start at $1,500.00 per season (Memorial Day through Labor
Day).
