Invitation Your firm is hereby invited to submit a proposal for the operation of the Town of Hamburg’s Ice Arena Concession Stand/Snack Bar and Pro Shop located at 2982 Lakeview Road, Hamburg, NY 14075. The concession contract includes both a hockey pro shop and a snack bar. Introduction The Town of Hamburg is seeking proposals (RFP) from experienced concessionaires familiar with the operation of an Ice Hockey Pro Shop and Snack Bar. The Hamburg Town Ice Arena is a year-round facility that has previously separated the snack bar and pro shop during the hockey season of mid-September to early April. The concessionaire would be required to be open for the duration of the season. The selected proposer will provide pro shop amenities and food, beverage, and/or recreational concession services to arena patrons in a manner that is safe, professional, environmentally responsible, and consistent with the character of the arena during the season (Mid-September through Early April). The concessionaire will also have the option to operate an exterior concession window during summer months. This RFP neither commits the Town of Hamburg to select an operator nor reimburse any costs associated with the preparation or submittal of proposals in this regard. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Hamburg. The Vendor must be in good standing with the Town of Hamburg at the time of proposal submission. Background The Town of Hamburg Ice Arena is a year-round facility used in the winter for skating and hockey and in warmer weather for summer camp and sport rentals. The main programs held at the Ice Arena include Hamburg Hawks hockey, Hilbert College hockey, high school hockey, Public Skate, Learn to Skate, Skate and Shoot, SABAH (organization for individuals with disabilities), Summer Day Camp, organized sports rentals (lacrosse, etc.) and private rentals. Time Frame The vendor will operate the Pro Shop and Snack Bar from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for the duration of the Fall/Winter season. The Pro Shop and Snack Bar hours will be subject to change with the approval of the Youth, Recreation and Senior Services Department on special events such as tournaments, college and high school hockey games, open skates, etc. Hours of operation are subject to change upon successful negotiations with the Youth, Recreation and Senior Services Department. The vendor has the option to operate an exterior concession window during summer months for events/programs. 135
