TOWN OF AURORA
575 OAKWOOD AVENUE, EAST AURORA, NY 14052
  BUILDING DEPARTMENT
  (716) 652-7591

  MEMO

TO: Supervisor Snyder and Town Board Members

FROM: _ Elizabeth Cassidy, Code Enforcement Officer

DATE: February 4, 2026

The Building Department has accepted Site Plan application for 690 South St by Dan Mirsky of
East Aurora Baseball and Softball. The request is to place a prebuilt shed on the Pool Park
property adjacent to the snack shack and utilize it for storage of equipment and field maintenance
supplies. A site plan is required due to the proximity of properties zoned residential.

Town Code section 95-5 states that “Phe Town Board may waive the applicability of all or any
portion of the site plan review process to a particular applicant or project if it determines that
such review is not in the interest of public health, safety or general welfare or is inappropriate to
a particular site plan.”

Ifthe Town Board does not waive the referral, then the application shall be referred to the
Planning Board for their review and recommendation. After receiving the recommendation, the
Town Board shall schedule a public hearing.

Due to the proximity of the property to the municipal boundary, a referral to Erie County
Department of Environment and Planning is required as per GML §239-m.

This is a Type IT Action for purposes of SEQRA and does not require a determination by the
Town Board.
