Meaghan and | have been reviewing applications for our summer programs. Meaghan has
many returning day camp counselors as well as identified multiple candidates for our multitude
of other programs at Hamlin Park, while I’m in the unusual position of having a large number of
lifeguard applicants for the pool. The Town of Aurora is fortunate to have a surplus of qualified
lifeguards, which is a unique situation for many communities.

Resident registration opens on April 13", with non-resident registration beginning on April 27".
We have continued distributing our brief weekly recreation newsletters to help parents prepare
for registration. Topics have included instructions for uploading a child’s immunization form
and a swimming lesson placement flowchart to help families determine the appropriate
registration level for their child.
