All applicants have the right to appeal this decision if they belief the process
included bias, improper procedure, or misrepresentation of information.
Dissatisfaction with the decision or providing new information are not sufficient
reasons for an appeal.

Applicants wishing to appeal must submit a formal appeal online through this
form. Formal appeals must include:

  1. Which of the above grounds you are basing your appeal on.
  2. Documentation and evidence to support why your proposal meets one or
  more of the selected grounds.

If you plan to submit an appeal, it must be received NO LATER than 5 pm on
Friday, May 15, 2026.

NOTE: submission of an appeal does not guarantee a change in the funding decision.
A separate appeals panel will review all submitted appeals to determine whether or
not they meet New York State's criteria for a successful appeal. Your appeal must be
successful and must demonstrate that your score would have been high enough
without the bias or staff misrepresentation to warrant funding.

Please do not be discouraged! We are here to work with you and help support your
artistic endeavors. You can find additional funding resources on our website here.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or require
further assistance.

We truly appreciate all the incredible work you do for our Western New York
community!

Sincerely,
