recommended clear sight triangles. It was determined that the available intersection sight distance did not meet the AASHTO recommendations due to the embankment located that the southwest corner of the intersection, as well as the crest vertical curve of the sidewalk. This sidewalk can’t be lowered due to underground utilities and the grade of the embankment. The warrant for intersection sight distance has been met, and the implementation of an all-way stop is recommended. As this intersection is within the Village of East Aurora, the Village is responsible for the installation and maintenance of the STOP control signage, via Sign Permit from our Department. I have attached a draft of the Sign Permit for this location. The installation of a pedestrian crossing on the south side of the intersection has been included in this permit. Please have a person of authority sign this permit and return to me for Erie County’s countersignature. Once the Village receives a copy of the fully executed permit, you may install the necessary signage. If you have any questions or comments regarding this matter, please feel free to contact me at (716) 858-8067. Sincerely, Gina Wilkolaski, P.E.
