Fred Marrano City Council President 714 Ridge Road Lackawanna, New York 14218 Re: Contract Between the City of Lackawanna and Lackawanna City School District Dear Council President Marrano and the Honorable City Council: I am requesting that the enclosed proposed agreement between the City of Lackawanna and the Lackawanna City School District (the “District”) be placed on the agenda for City Council approval on August 17,2026 authorizing Mayor Iafallo to sign same. This is a renewal agreement for the collection of school taxes by our City Treasurer related to the prior agreement covering the 2024-2025 and the 2025-2026 tax collection years. There are no significant changes to the agreement; the District will be paying a starting fee of $40,000 as opposed to the $36,000 starting fee included in the prior agreement.
