Lackawanna, New York 14218 Re: Transfer of City-Owned Property at 2019 Abbott Road Dear Council President Marrano and the Honorable City Council: On behalf of Mayor Iafallo, the undersigned request that the City Council vote and act on the attached ordinance at the August 17, 2026 City Council Meeting. The Ordinance authorizes the sale of a parcel at 2019 Abbott Road to the adjoining land owners of 122 Edison Street. This parcel is one of the final parcels involved in the Abbott Road/Edison Street Project. The parcel was previously offered to the prior owners of the property. As the property was subsequently sold, an offer was extended to the new owners, who have accepted and wish to purchase the parcel. The purchasers will pay all applicable costs and filing fees. City Assessor Michael Milks supports the transfer. Thank you for your consideration of this request. Yeas: Muflahi, Anderson, Meegan, Surdyke, Marrano Carried 5-0 ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE/TRANSFER OF PROPERTY PURSUANT TO MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 12. BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Lackawanna, New York as follows: SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby approves of the transfer of property known as part of vacant lot, SBL 151.08-10-1 to Gregg Bellagamba and Shad Garner. SECTION 2. That the transfer is made for the sum of $502.50, in cash to the City of Lackawanna. SECTION 3. That the purchaser/transferee shall be responsible for all expenses related to the transfer as set forth in Chapter 12, Section 11 of the City Code. SECTION 4. That the Law Department shall prepare documents to be executed for the transfer of the property. THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY. Dated: August 18, 2026 Lackawanna, New York
